I have loved mythology for as long as I can remember. I was finally able to take this class my senior year, and I am so excited to finally learn about all of the Gods and Goddess I have heard about. I have seen this God before, but I never knew the name or anything about him. I actually thought it was a her at first. The storybook was super interesting because it was from the perspective of Ganesha himself. It made it fun while educational and memorable. The design of the storybook helped keep the reading light and humorous. Overall, I really enjoyed this storybook and hope I can create something just as creative and inviting.

Like the Gadesha blog mentioned before, gossip girl Ayodhya took a unique approach to storytelling. Rather than listing facts or writing a research paper, the author created a blog from the a gossip columnist's point of view. Not only was I more engaged in the material, I was looking for more drama and action. Turning myths into gossip is a great way to ensure the reader has fun reading about "Ayodhya's elite" while learning about Indian Epics. Although I thought the design of the blog wasn't as vibrant as the first storybook I mentioned, the concept was extremely creative and definitely a great way to be memorable.

Ganesha Lord of New Beginnings

Although this was another blog about Ganesha, it was a completely different variations and story from the first one previously mentioned. This storybook was also written in Ganesha's perspective, but with a completely different voice. My favorite thing about this story book was the diagram listed above. This diagram really helped my understanding of the deity and the importance of everything in the recognizable image. This storybook compared to the other one really went into detail about the symbols given me a more solid idea of who this image is. I especially liked the comical touches such as "here is a picture of me posing like a boss" that really let the author's personality shine through.
