One Month Down, Four More to Go

I really wish I started doing these Famous Last Words post earlier because I am great at word dumping, and I find it insanely therapeutic. This is the first time a class allowed me to do this and receive credit for it! For my first Famous Last Words, I felt it appropriate to discuss my highs and lows for the first month of my last semester as an undergrad. To put it shortly, it has been hell, but I continue to fight. I work an average of 46 hours a week with no proper lunch break (my one hour lunch break is my class) and am taking a full-course load. As Laura knows, I definitely struggled with this class the first two weeks because of how many assignments were due. I was extremely overwhelmed and confused about the structure of the class that it took me some time to get the hang of it. Now that I have, I feel like it has helped my time management skills tremendously, and I am actually having fun doing the assignments. When I get home from work, I have about four hours to workout, eat, and do homework before I HAVE to go to bed in order to be a functioning human being the next day. Having a class like this one that requires at least six hours a week as been difficult because I rarely have six hours to give. After expressing my concerns to Laura, she was able to give me a schedule that allowed me to find the time to get everything I needed done. I have yet to follow this schedule to a T yet as I find myself doing most of the weekend assignments on Sunday (like right now as I post this EC at 1 am), but I am doing much better than my original schedule. Hopefully, this will the week I follow the schedule exactly and stay on top of all my school work. Wish me luck!
