I really love this quote because it puts into perspective how trivial my problems are. If I start to really beat myself up over a failed test, I remind myself in a year, I am not going to remember the name of the professor of the class. This quote reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: “If you can fix it, why worry? If you can’t fix it, why worry?” I am not sure who it’s from, but it has helped me in a multitude of situations because it reminds me, worrying does nothing, but make me feel worse.

I really like this quote as well because I find it very difficult to leave my comfort zone. I love to spend time alone in my room with my dogs watching tv or playing on my phone. I didn’t participate much in my undergraduate, and I really regret it. I see so many of my friends getting involved in clubs and growing their friend group and network, and it is all because they got out of their comfort zone. When I move out of Oklahoma, I will not be around people I know, and I’ll be forced to branch out in order to become a part of that community. This is something that frightens me and excites me at the same time.
