Tech Tip: Canvas Dashboard

I love that I am able to personalize my Canvas Dashboard! I am taking so many classes that have the same three-letter prefix that I get so confused as to which class is actually which. For instance, I am currently taking three SOC classes. Before I personalized my dashboard, I was only able to tell which class was which by the random numbers behind it. I also like that I can change the colors of each class. It makes going into Canvas every day fun and in a way makes me feel more organized. Personalizing my school life is one of my favorite things to do because it is a small way that makes me feel like I am in control. That's why I love school supply shopping! I also like that I can pick which classes I can see in my dashboard and which ones I can't. For instance, one of my teachers doesn't use Canvas, so I just hide his class in order to not get in confused with any of my other classes!

ReplyDeleteI really love the personalized option on Canvas dashboard! When I first came to OU, I really hated the way my dashboard looked. All the classes were titled with their course number (which I could never remember), and the colors of each box was so displeasing to the eye. But I started tinkering around with it, and now, at the beginning of every semester, I always change it.
